Anıtlar, tarihsel bir özelliği olan büyük ve önemli bir olayı, ulusça sevilen, sayılan, tarihe geçmiş bir kimseyi gelecek kuşaklara tarih boyunca anımsatmak için yapılan ya da dikilen, göze çarpacak büyüklükte, simge niteliğinde yapı, yontu, gömüt, sütun ya da benzeri bir yapıtlardır. Nurdağı, 6 Şubat 2023 tarihinde yaşanan "Asrın Felaketi" olarak nitelendirilen Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremlerin ardından en çok hasarı, yıkımı, can kaybını yaşayan ilçelerden biridir. Yaşanılan depremi yıkımı, can kayıplarını unutturmamak ve deprem gerçeğini belleklere kazımak amacıyla Üniversitelerin Mimarlık ve Güzel Sanatlar Fakültelerince Deprem Anıtı yarışması yapılması planlanmaktadır. Seçilen 5 proje Nurdağı Belediyesi Değerleme Komisyonu tarafından değerlendirilecek olup, 1. olan proje ödüllendirilecektir.
Nurdağı Belediyesi tarafından planlanan bu yarışmaya katılmak isteyen öğrencilerin bölüm sekreterliğine başvurmaları rica olunur.
Monuments are conspicuously large, symbolic structures, statues, tombs, columns or similar structures built or erected to remind future generations of a great and important event with a historical feature, a person who is loved and respected by the nation, and who has entered history throughout history. Nurdağı is one of the districts that experienced the most damage, destruction and loss of life after the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, which were described as the "Disaster of the Century" on February 6, 2023. It is planned to hold an Earthquake Monument competition by the Faculties of Architecture and Fine Arts of the Universities in order not to forget the destruction and loss of life of the earthquake and to engrave the reality of the earthquake in our memories. The 5 selected projects will be evaluated by the Nurdağı Municipality Valuation Commission, and the project that comes first will be rewarded.
